First Flight Kids Ministry FAQs
What kinds of security measures are in place?
All of our rooms and hallways where children are present are equipped with security cameras. We have a dedicated safety team monitoring cameras and stationed throughout the facility during regular programs. The nursery area and children's floor are secured with keycard access to interested parties.
Can I go with my child up to the secure floor?
You may accompany your child on one occasion (provided that you receive a security tag at the check-in area). After that, you will need a background check to be eligible to be an observer status (allowing limited access to the kids area with no contact with students other than your own).
Can I volunteer?
Absolutely! Volunteers undergo a screening process that includes a background checks and child abuse training. If you would like to serve, please call the church office at (270) 247-2992.
Who do I contact if I have questions, concerns, or want to visit on a campus tour?
For all nursery inquires, contact Kristin Hays at khays@fbcmayfield.com or (270) 247-2992. For all children's ministry inquires, you can reach Mason Shelton, the Associate Pastor of Families, at (270) 953-0291 or at mshelton@fbcmayfield.com.
