Senior Pastor
Paul Wilkerson
Paul originally joined the FBC staff in 2012 serving as youth pastor and associate pastor for over a decade. In 2022, Paul accepted a position with the International Mission Board in the Middle East to develop discipleship resources for churches in that region. Having spent two years overseas, Paul returned to Mayfield in 2024 as Senior Pastor. Paul has two masters and a PhD from the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary. He and his wife, Lindsey, have three children—Jayden, Kanyn, and Kye.

Associate Pastor of Worship
Paul Murphy
Moving to Graves county at the age of four, Paul grew up in the area and joined the staff of FBC Mayfield in December 2015. Raised in and around ministry, Paul learned first-hand and by example the necessity in every believer's life for worship. Prior to coming to FBC, Paul has served in multiple ministry roles, such as Youth Director, Pulpit Supply, and Worship leader. Paul married his high school sweetheart in July 1999, and they have two children, Lincoln and Alaya.

Associate Pastor of Families and Admin
Mason Shelton
Mason joined the FBC Mayfield pastoral team in December 2022. He previously served at Crossroads Fellowship in Cadiz, KY. Mason graduated with a Masters of Divinity from The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in December 2023 with a concentration in Biblical Counseling and Missions. Mason is married to his wife, Marina, and they have two children, Micah and Millie.

Associate Pastor of Youth
Johnathan Rogers
Johnathan joined the FBC pastoral staff in March 2025. He previously attended Trace Creek Baptist Church, where he served as a Youth Counselor. He is currently attending The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary, concentrating in Biblical Theology. Johnathan is married to his wife, Macy, and they have one child, Jett.

Pastoral Intern
Jeremy Creason
Jeremy and his family became members of First Baptist Church Mayfield in early 2020. Since then, he has been actively involved, serving as a Deacon, a member of the Safety Team, a Sunday School teacher, as well as participating in mission trips. Jeremy is currently pursuing a Master of Divinity at The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary, seeking to grow in his knowledge of Scripture and better equip himself for future ministry. Outside the church, Jeremy serves the community as Fire Chief and EMS Director for the City of Mayfield. Jeremy is married to his wife, Kelly, and together they have three daughters: Avery, Ally, and Alivia.

Office Manager and Ministry Assistant
Jan Lewis
Jan has served in the capacity of Ministry Assistant since June 2011. Before joining the staff, Jan served as the Principal of Northside Baptist Christian School in Mayfield for eight years. She has earned her Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and her Master’s degree in Education Leadership and Administration. She has been married to her husband, Steve, since September 1991. They have two children, Matt and Hannah, and three grandchildren.

Ministry Assistant and Nursery Director
Kristin Hays
Kristin Hays serves as the Nursery Director, Receptionist, and Ministry Assistant, where she brings a wealth of experience to her roles. Prior to joining the staff, Kristin gained valuable as an office manager and served in the area of child development. She is a graduate of WKCTC with an Associate's Degree in Art and has a passion for serving others. Kristin has been married to her husband, Ethen, since April 2015, and together they have two children, Kyler and Hudson.

Media Coordinator
Kaleb Gore
Kaleb serves as our Media Coordinator and also helps with custodial needs around the church. He has been on staff since November 2023. Kaleb earned his bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from Murray State University and brings his technical skills and servant heart to every area of ministry.

Superintendent of Buildings and Grounds
Dave Garner
Dave serves as our Superintendent of Buildings and Grounds, but his servant attitude is felt in every area of our church. He has been on staff since 1996 and is responsible for overseeing the custodial staff. Dave has been married to his wife, Tracey since 1983 and they have two children, Amanda and Lillie, and five grandchildren.

Assistant Superintendent of Building and Grounds
Steve Lewis
Steve is retired from the military and has owned and operated his own business. In 2020, Steve decided to close his business and join the staff of FBC Mayfield in 2021 to assist Dave with maintaining the FBC campus. Steve has been married to his wife Jan since 1991 and they have two children and three grandchildren.
Senior Adult Ministry Director
Lisa Woods
Lisa grew up attending First Baptist since she was a baby. She has served many different roles from pianist in the Youth Choir, teaching Children’s Choir, Mother’s Day Out Director to her current role as Senior Adult Ministry Director. Lisa has been married to Steve since 1990. She homeschooled her three children, Kelsey, Jace, and Katie. She now enjoys spending time with her grandchildren, Aliyah, Karli, Lily, Luke, Annslee, and Ayla.
