WE'RE BACK!
Now here's the plan...
Children’s Worship
-
We will be doing children’s worship every Sunday, except the first Sunday of the month.
-
Children’s worship will be assisted by volunteers that are on the off-rotation (the team currently not doing Sunday School).
-
Children’s worship will be geared towards K-2nd grade. However, if parents feel like their child will benefit from going to children’s worship, we will take any child in 6th grade or under.
-
Parents will check their kids in at the counter located in the Worship Center vestibule. Mason will be stationed behind the desk every week. If you are serving in children’s worship, please check in here.
-
Once students check in and receive a tag, they will join their parents for worship.
-
Before the sermon, the announcement will be made for students to come down for children’s worship. They will be directed to the ramp door located on the first floor to line up. If you are serving in children’s worship, please come down at this time.
-
We will then go down to the tunnel and to the Hub. There, we will regroup—we will do bathroom breaks, check to make sure every student is checked in, and we will assign student servant positions for children’s worship. After this, we will go to the Ministry Center for Children’s Worship.
-
After children’s worship, we will walk to The Hangar and “hang out.”
Children’s Worship is getting a facelift! Kids will engage in an age-appropriate, kid-sized service. During this service, students will be serving one another in corporate worship—greeting one another, reading scripture, praying, passing the offering plate, counting offering, and running tech. They will also be engaged in a 10-15 minute sermon that is based off the sermon text in the main service. The purpose of Children’s Worship is to equip kids to worship the Lord in a corporate, age-appropriate, setting while also exploring their gifts to serve the body.
Transition
-
After children’s worship, we will walk to The Hangar and “hang out.”
-
Some students will be dismissed to their parents who do not wish to stay for Sunday School. Others will be added if they did not attend children’s worship.
-
Sunday school volunteers are asked have their rooms ready and be in the Hangar by 10:50. Children’s Worship volunteers can will leave for their Sunday School class at 10:50.
Sunday School
-
At 11:00, we will begin Sunday School in the Hub in large group (as normal). When dismissed for small group, however, students will stay in small group for the remainder of the time. We will not come back to large group for the last 10 minutes as we have before..
-
At 12:00, Sunday School teachers will be watching their iPads for check-out. When students appear on the check-out tab, send them downstairs to reunite with their parents. Mason will be at the bottom of the stairs ensuring parents are matched with the correct child.
